A smaller footprint than many competitors.
Development & Background
The Embraer Praetor 600 was unveiled in October 2018 at NBAA-BACE in Orlando, representing a bold evolution from the highly successful Legacy 500. Embraer's engineering team envisioned an aircraft capable of intercontinental performance within a midsize footprint, letting owners and charter clients cross oceans efficiently without moving up to a large-cabin jet.
New winglets and enlarged fuel tanks increased total fuel capacity by over 15%, directly boosting range. Enhanced Rolls-Royce AE 3007A2 engines, providing 7,528 lbs of thrust each, improved hot-and-high and long-range performance, while reinforced landing gear and structural upgrades increased MTOW by 2,000 lbs over the Legacy 500. The Rockwell Collins Pro Line Fusion flight deck introduced synthetic vision, predictive weather radar, and autothrottle — features once exclusive to larger jets.
The Praetor 600 received Brazilian ANAC certification in April 2019, followed shortly by FAA and EASA approvals.
"The Praetor 600 gives you large-jet luxury in a midsize footprint. You can work, dine, and sleep comfortably at 45,000 feet — all while crossing the Atlantic nonstop."
