Development & Background
The Nextant 400XTi is a remanufactured business jet built on the proven airframe of the Beechjet 400A/Hawker 400XP. Nextant completely remodeled the aircraft — replacing the engines, avionics, and interior — to create a modern light jet with up to 30% better fuel efficiency and 50% lower maintenance costs.
Entrepreneur Kenneth C. Ricci recognized an opportunity to remanufacture proven aircraft with state-of-the-art technology. After its first flight in 2010 and FAA certification in 2011, the upgraded XTi variant entered service in 2014, with over 90 units delivered since. Notably, the Nextant 400XTi costs roughly $3.23 per mile to operate — significantly cheaper than its competitors.
"Flying the 400XTi from Chicago to Miami felt like a brand-new jet. The cabin was sleek and comfortable, and we landed ahead of schedule without a single delay."
"The Nextant 400XTi handles like a modern jet. The updated avionics reduce workload, and the fuel efficiency is a noticeable advantage for operators."
