Development & Background
Tracing back to the 1960s, the King Air 90 variant was created to bridge the gap between piston twins and early business jets, offering reliability, cabin pressurization, adequate seating, and the ability to operate from smaller airports.
In 1971, the C90 variant emerged with several improvements: Pratt & Whitney PT6 engines renowned for reliability and easy maintenance, and — in later years — a Rockwell Collins/Garmin G1000 avionics suite for increased situational awareness. An all-metal construction was standard, along with a pressurized, climate-controlled cabin sized for 6–7 passengers. Over time, refined variants like the C90A, C90B, and C90GTi introduced enhanced performance, noise reduction, and modern avionics.

Cabin & Interior Experience
Step inside and you'll find club seating for four, with additional aft seating. Depending on the aircraft, an optional enclosed aft lavatory may be provided. Just inside the entrance, a small refreshment center offers iced drinks and snacks, while LED lighting and soundproofing upgrades feature in newer variants.
Capabilities & Performance
The King Air C90's twin PT6A-21 configuration allows a cruise speed of 245 knots at an operational ceiling of 30,000 ft. A short takeoff distance under 2,600 ft makes it ideal for smaller airports, and with NBAA fuel reserves it offers a maximum range of 1,260 nm — making routes such as Dallas to Nashville, Houston to Santa Fe, or Miami to Nassau ideal.
