Development & Background
The Gulfstream G600 program was launched in October 2014 alongside its shorter-range sibling, the Gulfstream G500. The G600 was developed to bridge the performance of the previous flagship G550 with the technology of the G650. Its first flight was completed in December 2016, followed by 100,000 hours of testing across simulation and flight trials to ensure a safe yet capable aircraft for the market.
Using computational fluid dynamics modeling, the aircraft was built around a completely new wing design engineered for efficiency, enabling the G600 to maintain Mach 0.90 cruise while achieving fuel economy far better than legacy models. The G600 is powered by two Pratt & Whitney PW815GA engines producing 15,680 lbs of thrust, featuring low-emission combustion systems, improved fuel efficiency, and extended time between overhauls.
Engineers also carried over Gulfstream's Symmetry Flight Deck with active control sidesticks, paired with advanced touchscreen avionics to elevate both pilot workload management and situational awareness. By 2020, the G600 was setting speed records and winning design awards, including the International Yacht and Aviation Award for interior excellence.

Cabin & Interior Experience
The Gulfstream G600 offers a stand-up cabin (6 ft 2 in) with four fully customizable living zones, a full-size galley, and an optional aft stateroom with lie-flat sleeping for six.
Passengers are surrounded by Gulfstream's signature large oval windows while breathing fresh air replenished every two minutes via a state-of-the-art air purification system. Cabin altitude is a mere 4,850 ft at 41,000 ft, and noise levels remain whisper-quiet at high-speed cruise. Onboard 4K entertainment displays and Ka-band Wi-Fi are available, along with an optional stateroom, galley, microwave, oven, and lavatory.

The Gulfstream G600 is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW815GA engines producing 15,680 lbs of thrust each, climbing to 41,000 ft in under 22 minutes before cruising at Mach 0.90. The newly designed aerodynamic wings deliver up to 13% lower fuel burn than comparable long-range jets.
With an incredible range of 6,600 nautical miles, the G600 connects major city pairs such as New York to Moscow or Los Angeles to London. Its Symmetry Flight Deck includes active sidesticks, synthetic vision, predictive landing performance, and touchscreen avionics.
