Development & Background
Introduced in 2022, the Bombardier Global 8000 is the latest flagship model offered by Bombardier Aerospace, representing a significant leap forward in business aviation. The aircraft is manufactured across facilities in Saint-Laurent (Quebec), Red Oak (Texas), and Querétaro (Mexico), with its first flight completed on May 16, 2025, and FAA certification expected in the second half of 2025.
Built off the success of the Global 7500, the Global 8000 was created to set new benchmarks: fly farther than the original Global 7500, deliver an uncompromising large-cabin environment, and be the fastest jet in its class. Bombardier leveraged data from over 200 Global 7500 deliveries and 250,000 flying hours to shape the design.
Bombardier gave the Global 8000 a "Smooth Flex" wing that provides a high-lift profile for takeoff and landing and a high-speed profile for cruise, optimizing both runway performance and long-haul efficiency. Power comes from advanced GE Passport engines delivering outstanding thrust and efficiency for ultra-long-range missions. The aircraft also boasts a cabin altitude of just 2,900 ft at FL410 and multiple HEPA-level Pũr Air filtration systems throughout the cabin.

Cabin & Interior Experience
Step inside the Global 8000 and you're greeted with a stand-up cabin 6 ft 2 in tall and 8 ft wide — plenty of space to move around. With a cabin length of 54 ft, the aircraft offers four fully customizable living zones, including a club suite, conference area, entertainment lounge, and a private suite with a full-size bed and optional shower. Large panoramic windows flood the cabin with natural light, while Bombardier's Pũr Air system refreshes cabin air every 90 seconds.
Cabin altitude is an ultra-low 2,900 ft when cruising at 41,000 ft, helping passengers arrive refreshed. Optional Ka-band Wi-Fi, 4K cinema displays, and custom design packages make the Global 8000 one of the most luxurious charter aircraft in existence.
Capabilities & Performance
Powered by two GE Passport 20 engines, the Global 8000 combines jet-class efficiency with record-breaking speed. Capable of Mach 0.94, it outpaces even some airliners while maintaining an 8,000 nm range. Takeoff distance is 5,760 ft, with an impressive landing distance of 2,810 ft, and the aircraft shares the class-standard 51,000 ft service ceiling, letting it fly above most weather.
The Global 8000's Smooth Flex Wing technology ensures a remarkably stable ride through turbulence, while the Bombardier Vision flight deck integrates the latest avionics, synthetic vision, and advanced flight envelope protection for safer, smoother operation.
