Development & Background
Officially announced in 2018 as an evolution of the Global 6000, Bombardier aimed to improve range, speed, and passenger experience for long-range missions. After its first delivery in 2020, Bombardier positioned the Global 6500 to compete with the Gulfstream G650 and Dassault Falcon 8X — both of which offer exceptional value for intercontinental charter.
With a range of 6,600 nautical miles and a max cruise speed of Mach 0.90, nonstop missions such as Houston to Dubai are possible. Bombardier powers the Global 6500 with two Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines, which provide higher thrust and efficiency — cutting fuel burn by 7% compared to the Global 6000. The Global 6500 also introduces an updated four-zone cabin layout, larger windows, improved lighting, and advanced soundproofing for a quieter flight.
"The 6500 handles beautifully, offers high-speed cruise, and makes intercontinental trips effortless. Passengers love the quiet, luxurious cabin."

Capabilities & Performance
The Global 6500 is powered by two Rolls-Royce Pearl 15 engines that deliver increased thrust and efficiency for faster climbs and extended range. The aircraft reaches Mach 0.90 max cruise and can maintain Mach 0.85 for long-range operations. With a 6,600-nautical-mile range, nonstop missions such as Los Angeles to Paris, New York to Tokyo, or London to Singapore are achievable, and the aircraft can operate from runways under 6,000 ft, making it a strong contender for regional and high-altitude airports.
