Development & Background
The Dassault Falcon 6X wasn't originally supposed to be in production. Dassault was initially developing the Falcon 5X, but faced major setbacks from performance shortfalls in its Safran Silvercrest engines. Rather than compromise its standards, Dassault made the bold decision in 2017 to cancel the 5X program entirely and launch the Falcon 6X using the trusted Pratt & Whitney Canada PW812D engines, delivering 13,500 lbs of thrust each and designed for low noise, clean combustion, and exceptional reliability.
The Falcon 6X was unveiled in February 2018. It retained the elegant fuselage lines of the 5X but underwent a complete re-engineering of its systems, aerodynamics, and flight deck. Dassault extended the fuselage by 20 inches, giving a wide cabin 8.5 feet wide and 6.5 feet high, and re-optimized the wing structure for smoother airflow, greater lift efficiency, and enhanced stability at both high and low speeds.
After more than 1,500 flight hours across four prototypes, the Falcon 6X received EASA and FAA certification in 2023. Dassault also used the Digital Flight Control System from the Rafale fighter, offering unmatched precision, envelope protection, and smooth, intuitive handling for pilots.

Cabin & Interior Experience
The Falcon 6X offers a wide stand-up cabin 6.5 ft high, 8.5 ft wide, and over 40 ft long — split across three zones accommodating up to 12 passengers depending on configuration. Passengers are surrounded by 30 windows and a unique skylight over the galley.
Cabin altitude remains at an impressive 3,900 ft while cruising at 41,000 ft, ensuring a refreshing flight. Passengers get high-speed Ka-band internet, full connectivity suites, and touch-control interfaces for lighting, temperature, and entertainment.
Capabilities & Performance
The Falcon 6X is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW812D engines producing 13,500 lbs of thrust each. Combined with its aerodynamics, the 6X has a service ceiling of 51,000 ft, a max cruise speed of Mach 0.90, and a long-range cruise speed of Mach 0.80, allowing a max range of 5,500 nm.
Its optimized wing structure and digital flight controls allow smooth handling in turbulence and reduced drag, making the 6X one of the most stable and fuel-efficient jets in its class. Pilots benefit from the EASy IV cockpit and FalconEye Combined Vision System, which merges synthetic and infrared imagery on a single head-up display — enabling safer approaches in poor weather and at night.
