Development & Background
The Cessna Citation Latitude was launched by Cessna in 2011 under the leadership of Scott Ernest, as a strategy to fill the gap between the Citation XLS+ and the long-range Citation Sovereign+. After receiving FAA certification in June 2015, the Citation Latitude became the best-selling midsize jet from 2016 to 2020, winning both the Robb Report Best of the Best award for business jets and the 2016 Flying Innovation Award.

Cabin & Interior Experience
For a midsize jet, the Citation Latitude leads its class in width and comfort, featuring a flat-floor design and a 6-foot cabin height. The aircraft comfortably seats 7 to 9 passengers, with a cabin width of 6.4 ft for extra shoulder room and 127 cubic feet of luggage capacity — ideal for multiple suitcases, golf clubs, or skis.
In-flight high-speed Wi-Fi is available on most charter aircraft, along with satellite communications and cabin speakers. A cabin altitude of just 5,950 ft at 45,000 ft cruise keeps passengers comfortable on longer flights.
Capabilities & Performance
The Citation Latitude is equipped with two Pratt & Whitney PW306D1 engines, delivering a range of 2,700 nm for nonstop coast-to-coast flights. These engines allow the aircraft to cruise at 446 knots, with short-field capability for improved airport access. FADEC-controlled engines and an optimized wing design help reduce direct operating costs.
Like most Citation models, the Latitude uses a Garmin interface with touch-screen controls and advanced situational awareness. Additional safety features include TCAS II, TAWS, ADS-B compliance, and synthetic vision.
