Development & Background
The Airbus ACJ319neo program launched in 2015 to modernize the Airbus Corporate Jet lineup alongside the Airbus A320neo family. The "neo" (new engine option) program brought CFM International LEAP-1A or Pratt & Whitney PW1100G-JM geared turbofan engines, both delivering significantly reduced fuel consumption and noise compared to the previous-generation CFM56 engines.
On top of the engine upgrade, Airbus incorporated up to five additional center fuel tanks in the lower cargo hold, managed through an advanced fuel system derived from the A321LR. Combined with aerodynamic refinements including Sharklet wingtips, the ACJ319neo achieved a 15% reduction in fuel burn and up to 6,750 nautical miles of nonstop range — significantly higher than the previous ACJ318.
Airbus Corporate Jets also introduced the ACJ319neo "Infinito" and "Harmony" interior concepts, co-developed with design houses including Pagani Automobili and Alberto Pinto, emphasizing personalization, wellness, and seamless connectivity. The first ACJ319neo completed its maiden flight in 2018 and entered VIP service in 2019, competing directly with the Boeing BBJ MAX 7 and the Bombardier Global 7500 while offering superior cabin volume at comparable range.

With additional fuel tanks, it achieves a range of up to 6,750 nautical miles, enabling nonstop flights such as London to Los Angeles or Dubai to New York. It cruises at 470 knots with a service ceiling of 41,000 ft and typically climbs to altitude in under 25 minutes.
Pilots use the Airbus A320neo flight deck, equipped with dual FMS, advanced EFIS, and an optional HUD. Crew members are generally former airline captains with years of experience and at least 6,000 hours of turbine time.
